I need some suggestions on how to proceed with an order of pottery I never received.

My husband and I were in Castellina in Chianti in September and I ordered several pieces of pottery from a shop on the main street called Pep Bizzarrie. They had such beautiful pottery and said they could ship no problem, it just had to fit in a certian size box, and she had stack of filled boxes from exiting orders in the store ready to ship

Well here it is almost Novemberand I do not have my order, I sent several emails with no repsonse. Luckily my card My card has not been charged.

I am thinkng of trying to call, hopfully our translations wont get lost.

any suggestions on what I should do??

thanks

Lee

Have you tried calling them directly? I had bought a painting on our last trip and had the artist ship it. I was worried when it didn't arrive so I called the artist directly and she explained to me that it would be arriving shortly and why there had been a delay. (We figured this out with me speaking little Italian and her speaking little English.)

oops, sorry Lee...I should have read the entire post..I see that you haven't called yet....I would suggest calling. It seems the language issue works itself out.

Good Luck!

Hi IIlee,

If the pottery is coming by boat, you should allow 6-8 weeks.

You may want to send an email to them (if you know their email address).

That will at least give them a gist of what you are calling about when you call.

Okay I called and everything is fine. They are shipping in the next week. They do not charge until they ship which is nice but confusing. They also had to make the items I assume as they said they had just finished them and that 6 weeks is normal turn around from order to shipment. I sent Laurie an email with a bit more info but wanted to let all that were interested know.

Larry, unfortunately, Italians are awful when it comes to email IMO. Laurie wrote that she had emailed with no response which is not surprising to me at all.

Cristina, thank you so much for your help. I didnt know they had to be made. It must be what we chose were her sample pieces. She probably told us but because of translation it got misunderstood.

this board is great!!
