Has anyone ever been to Hydromania? From the website it looks accessible by ATAC bus #906. How far is it?

Thanks in advance-

Now my kids want to go to this place when we're in Rome. (Like there are no waterparks here.) Hope someone has an idea how far it is from Rome.

Leaving in 10 days!!

Millie-

I'm going this Friday, June 18, (somewhat unwillingly, I must add) with my nieces. I'll let you know how it is.

I'm also scheduled to go to Mirabilandia at some point in the next few weeks.

Your nieces must think you're the greatest. Guess I'm glad we won't be near Ravenna!

Well, I survived Hydromania. I don't have anything to compare it to, since the last time I went to any kind of amusement park I was in the 8th grade. The nieces approved of it, though. Lots of waterslides; several swimming pools; many other zie (aunts) handing out sandwiches, snacks, towels and wishing they were someplace else.

The trip from Piazza della Repubblica on the A line metro, then connecting to the 906 bus at Valle Aurelia took about an hour, 1 bus/metro ticket. At the Aurelia stop take the exit on your right, take the path to the right, and you'll see the little kiosk for the 906. I just asked the bus driver for the correct stop (I never imagined I'd be asking a Roman bus driver "La fermata per Hydromania?"). You can see the place from the bus- there's a huge tower right in front of you. The return bus stop is directly across the street from where you're dropped off.

I think we'll be going back.

Judy-

We got home a little while ago. I'll call you tomorrow- I could use a drink and some adult conversation in English sometime this week.

Fiorentina just got promoted to Serie A; from the sound of blaring car horns and the party starting in Piazza P. Vettori, just below my bedroom window, I don't think I'm going to get much sleep tonight!
