In looking over my SITA bus schedule for a planned trip from Florence to Siena, I was reminded of a perfect plan that went awry one Easter in Greve, Italy. A friend, coming from Rome, planned to take the SITA bus from Florence to Greve and we planned to meet her at the Greve bus stop. We waited for her there but no bus arrived. After several minutes went by, we read the schedule again and noticed in the fine print that the SITA bus, at least in the Chianti area, does not run on Easter, May 1, Christmas, or Jan. 1. (We were able to drive to Florence to meet her.)

So, I hope that note prevents this from happening to any travelers who had planned to use the SITA bus on any of these holidays.
