Taking my inlaws to Tuscany in June. They have been told, as they are over 80, they can't rent a car. Is this true?

I believe these are company policies, rather than laws. But I know this has been an issue for my parents, and would not be surprised if you can't find anyone who will rent you a car for drivers over 75.

If I remember correctly, there is no age limit when leasing a car.

When leasing a car it must be a minimum of 18 days...no less.

Actually, you can lease for less days if you want, but the minimum cost is for 18. This might be acceptable if there is no other solution.
