Hi,
Anyone familar with either of these apartments. We have to decide this week. I know that Daniel Morneau' "Vacanza Bella" is listed on slow trav--and here is the direct link to his offering.

The other one we are considering in on --
http://www.knowital.com/tuscany/siena/diacceto/apartment2.html
and our contact has been through "cuednet"

Anyway, if anyone knows anything that would help us decide, please respond.
We would be renting for 2 weeks in early June. I assume the locations are basically the same; right?

Thanks very much,

I did a search on this site for "cuendet" and came up with some not so good reports. Is "knowital" more reputable? I am inclined to just rent the vacanzabella place but would love to save some money. Sara from cuendet has not yet quoted us a price. This is confusing...

Knowital is a listing agency; and Cuendet is an Italian agency that markets its properties through Knowital and others to reach a wider audience. Looking at the Knowital reviews, I see that people have been happy with the properties they offer. Vacanza Bella also has strongly positive reviews. For locations, have you asked for the street address of both apartments, and checked them on a map? Both apartments look very nice, and seem to have similar perks.

Thanks, Amy,
Yes I looked at the map. One is between the Duomo and the Campo(the knowital one) and the other is about a block off the campo on the other side, I guess to the northeast. Not being too familar with Siena, these locations seem comparable to me.
At this point, both options seem nice; it's just the price and the reliability of the agency.
I appreciate your response and will, of course, post back.

Hi Bee,

I think the street is Bandini--
Can you tell anything from this map:

I hope the link worked...
We put in the "formal" request for our dates in june yesterday and are awaiting confirmation.

Thanks very much,
jan

The areas are comparable. The one in the map is muchcloser to much of the university so there will be more college students around. Looks good, if it works for you I say go for it!

jan,
I agree with Cristina. There is not much differene between via Bandini and via Diacceto and, moreover, both of them are two minutes walking from piazza del Campo. Keep us informed!

Thanks very much--
I hope we can do a GTG in Siena in June.

Any info on Saena Iulia or the DaVinci language schools?

Grazie,
jan
