Well, I’m afraid I'm not a very good joke-teller (my Irish ancestors would be ashamed of me), but since I see I just hit 100(!) posts, I guess I’d better give it a try. I heard this from a charming gentleman in County Clare:
A Spaniard and an Irishman fell into conversation in a pub. The Spaniard asks the Irishman if he’s familiar with the Spanish word “maňana” (tomorrow), and the longer-term connotation it so often carries. The Irishman says, yes, he is. The Spaniard then asks if they have something similar in Ireland. The Irishman thinks a minute, then says, “Yes, but for us it doesn’t have nearly the same sense of urgency!”
