Here's my 100th post joke which salutes all of us who are trying valiantly to learn another language. Keep trying!
A swiss guy visiting Adelaide, Australia, pulls up at a bus stop where two locals are waiting.
"Entschuldigung, keonnen Sie Deutsch sprechen?" he asks.
The two Aussies just stare at him.
"Excusez-moi, parlez vous francais?" he tries.
The two continue to stare.
"Parlate italiano?"
Nothing.
"Hablan ustedes Espanol?"
Still nothing.
The Swiss guy drives off extremely disgusted and impatient.
The first Aussie turns to the other and says, "Y'know, maybe we should learn a foreign language."
"Why?" says the other. "That guy knew four languages and it didn't do him any good."
