Hey, all my favorite book lovers! Bookworm
What would you like to do with the last couple of book club selections?
They are:
February book selection - Monster of Florence - still to be discussed
March book selection - The Thirteenth Tale - still to be discussed

Has anyone read either and if you have, can we get together for a discussion?
We could discuss both books in one chat, if you like.

OR, perhaps we could move on to April's selection, Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd.

Let me know what you'd like to do!
I think each of these books is a great read, and I'm happy to discuss any or all, whatever you'd like.

Brenda,

I did read Monster of Florence, have not read Thirteenth Tale yet. I would love to join in a discussion about the Monster Of Florence.
Secret life of the Bees is on my list to read, I'll be getting that book soon.
So, I am open to anything really.

I would also like to discuss The Monster of Florence especially since it's set in one of Slow Travel's most frequented city's.

Works for me! Joanna's Dancing Man
I'd like to get back on track with our wonderful book club chats. How's this Sunday at 2:00 P.M.?
I'm available then, and if that isn't good, then let's choose another date.
Panda, have you read the book? Can you join us on Sunday?

I've read The Monster of Florence and The Secret Life of Bees, however, I have a commitment for Sunday and can't join the discussion. Perhaps I can send a few impressions in ahead of time. I'll miss all of you Frown

I'm flexible, and if I take my Ginko, I will remember to show up when ever it's convenient for everybody else.

I think it's way more fun if all of us can participate. Nancy what date would work for you?

I'm usually flexible except for Tuesday nights when I have Italian class, and I'll be busy Easter weekend. I can certainly plan around any other time that works for you all.

What about this Saturday, April 4th...does this work for everyone? Nancy, is that day better for you?
I can set aside time that day, 2:00 P.M., or later or earlier...let me know what works best!

"The fascinating story unfolds with memorable characters and dizzying plot twists that could come off as far-fetched if the book was fictional.
The writing is evocative, and the two collaborators skillfully weave the narratives back and forth to create, at times, a razor's edge of tension." ~ Chicago Tribune

"Tom Cruise was gripped by The Monster of Florence, which sold 300,000 copies in the U.S. When he met Mr Spezi at the Italian premiere of Valkyrie in Rome in January, he told him his character would be the star of the film.
"I met Cruise with Christopher McQuarrie, his screenwriter," said Mr Spezi. "Tom said they weren't interested in making yet another film about a serial killer but were fascinated by the story of how two writers got caught up in the investigation and suffered the consequences." ~ Peter Popham
