At our book chat on Sunday, November 30th, we talked about ways to generate more interest in our monthly book chats and to make book chat available to everyone interested in participating. Ginger had a great idea Bulb
...she suggested posting a topic so everyone can talk about the monthly book selection here, any time of day or night that's convenient for you. This is in addition to the regularly scheduled book chat that happens on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 2:00 P.M. in the Gold Star Chat Room.

I know that some of you can't always make it to the monthly book chat. Life gets in the way and stopping by on Sunday afternoon just isn't possible. With this new forum, each month's selection will be posted here for you. You can read about that book any time you have a few minutes, morning or evening. Then, you can post your thoughts and comments about it here. Perhaps you'll also have time to join us in the chat room for the monthly book chat! Either way, this gives you more choices for participation in a book conversation, and what's not to love about that? Heart

I'm also going to provide a luscious gift certificate for a good book as a grand prize!Champagne Here's how you can win:
Post your opinion and comments about the book of the month selection on the book thread.
OR
Stop in the Gold Star Chat Room for our monthly book chat.

Either way, your name goes into my handy-dandy lucky draw bucket for a chance to win the gift certificate of the month! How's that for amazing?Big Grin

Please join me in giving a huge standing ovation to Kim, Colleen and our very own Slowtrav mod squad, who worked hard to put this all together for us, so here's to you, darlings! Not Worthy

Brenda - thanks for "sweetening the pot" with your raffle prize offer.

So that we can plan ahead, could you post a thread here with the Book Chat Schedule for the next few months, and the books to be read? That way we can sneak a few titles into our holiday wish lists!

(and is that 2 pm Mountain Time? Eastern? Pacific?)

Thanks,

Judy

Hi, Judy,
Yep, it's coming!
I'm working on the post for the next book and will have it up asap.
The book list we currently have will also get posted, as soon as I clean it up.

Here's the time zones simplified:
1:00 P.M. Pacific Standard Time PST - Los Angeles
2:00 P.M. Mountain Standard Time MST - Edmonton - Me!
3:00 P.M. Central Standard Time CST - Minneapolis
4:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time EST - Miami & New York
9:00 P.M. Greenwich Mean Time GMT - London

Have I missed any that should be included? Adelaide? Tokyo?

Could we post the world clock link at the top of this forum?
Or should I include it in every post?
Here it is:
World Clock

Anything else, please tell me...I so appreciate the advice and help! Not Worthy
