I am filling out the Long-Stay Visa application forms for our upcoming year in France. There are two sections I'm not sure how to write in French. Any help would be much appreciated!

1. For our "Moyens d'existence" we will be using our savings and the income from my husband's business. Is Epargne the correct term for savings, in this sense? How do I state: "The income of my business"?
2. I will be working on my Master's in Linguistics, but the courses are all online. So what's the best way to word this? I'm not sure the equivalent of Master's degree, or online! Since it is not through a French university, I may just not tell them I'm a student, if it complicates things!
Our appt is with the NY Consulate this Friday, everything else is done!

Merci!
Angela

If you tell them you're studying abroad they should understand that. They won't be wondering if you're really looking for work or something else.

Plus if you tell them the truth you won't have to keep your story straight. Imagine if you tell them something else then it slips out you're studying. How would it look? How trust worthy?

Well techincally I'm not on a study abroad program. I'm just doing my courses thru an American university that happens to be online, so I can do the courses from anywhere.
I just did not want to cause any confusion, since I am not applying for a student visa (I'm not eligible, since it's not study abroad, nor a French university).
Thanks!

1. Epargne is correct for savings. For "The income of my business", you can write "les revenus de mon entreprise"

2. I think the french masters are more the less at the same level as US ones. So you could say "J'étudie des cours en ligne pour passer mon Master en linguistique" (I study online courses to pass my Master's in linguistics)
