Please help me with writing out a vegetarian card for restaurants. I understand in Paris city center this is unlikely to be a problem, but for Loire Valley, how do I tell them I don't eat any meat except fish (this includes any meat or poultry stock).

Prounouncing this will be another challenge!

The 1st 2 'e's in vegetarienne have the accent grave- accent marks that go to the left.

if you try to say this in whatever prononciation you will get happy help from the French: trying their language is a big plus.

Je suis végétarienne (for a woman) ou végétarien (for a man) - those are acute accents, this è is the grave.

Oh, the Italian will just make you sound like you are from le Midi...

If you don't eat fish either, you might want to mention it, (je ne mange pas de poisson) although it is unusual to sneak fish into dishes, with the exception of anchovies on pizzas and in tapenades.
