I suspect you can't go wrong with any of these cameras. I used the Canon SD800 on my recent trip and loved it. I really love the small size of the SD series. They slip in a pocket or are easy to carry in a small pack or purse. They are quick and easy to use. And they take great pictures. What brand of camera do you currently have? If you have used Canon before, that might be an advantage since I've found it operations similar between the different Canon series. Here are links to reviews on the cameras you are looking at. It might help others to give feedback. Canon A720 Canon SD850 Sony DSC-W90

Thanks for your suggestions. To answer your question, I had a Sony DSC-P200 which left on a bus in England. I liked it well enough; they don't make them anymore and I'm happy to upgrade from 7.1 to 8 MP, I do enlarge my pictures quite a bit.
