Costco's e-mail flier came today. They have the Garmin 770 for $399.

Our experience with this model was excellent this summer in both Italy and Croatia.

Jane, a shout-out to you for a big "Thank you".
I went on line as soon as I read this and just bought the Garmin 770 from Costco for $399. I have been looking for months and Marcia and David gave me good advice as well. This is for Mike's bday in Sept. I'm so thrilled to have gotton this model for this price. Thank you! Barb Cabot

Thanks Jane - I have just ordered one for Terry for Christmas. He LOVED the one in our rental car this summer.

I have never bought Christmas gifts this early, or bought gifts on line for that matter.

Proof that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks! Wink

Sheena and Barb, remember if you have any problem with your Garmin, they have a very good phone customer service. Sheena, since you are waiting until Christmas to give it to Terry, you may want to try it out now yourself to make sure it works as it should.

I was just on Amazon, and they have lowered their price for the Garmin 770 to $399.99. Maybe they are trying to match Costco's price.

Well, I finally took the plunge and ordered the 770. Not only did I get the sales price and free shipping, but they had a special $20 discount for charging it to their "Bill Me Later" plan. I think it is Amazon's own credit system. Oh! Plus no sales tax. Yeah! Can't get much better than that!

Jane, Mike was able to try out his new 770 on our trip to Charleston. Need I say, "He LOVES it!" Thanks so much to you and Marcia and Dave for helping me with this choice. It was so easy and fun to use. Now if only I can get him to Italy on those white roads! We even laughed when we purposely took a wrong turn and the voice repeated, "Recalculating!" See you at Palma's gtg Saturday.
