Marian, have you looked at the Israel page on Prepaidgsm.net? Do you know what your third gsm frequency is? 1800? or 900? Orange(Partner Communications) operates on 900 & 1800 and Cellcom Israel operates on only 1800. Do you know which network(s) Celluar Abroad and Telestial use in Israel? Bill (Edited by Fibonacci to correct frequency info)

Thanks Bill --- I just looked at that page, but the info for each provider is out of date by a couple of years. Anyway ---- both Telestial and Cellular Abroad SIMs operate with Cellcom. I think I can probably get more information from friends this weekend (and if I'm lucky, maybe even a SIM card for Israel....) Edited to add: My phone is actually a nearly two-year old quad-band, Motorola V547 (850, 900, 1800, 1900)
