I have some shows on my computer that I want to watch with the whole family. They are .avi files. My DVD player does not recognize them (3 different DVD players) I have a Mac and have a few different programs including iDVD but can't figure out how to make a regular DVD to watch the shows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a number of converter programs available as freeware and shareware, for instance Video Box downloadable from the Apple site. You can convert to an MP4 and just drag that file into iDVD.
There are plenty of other ways so let me know if you have trouble.

Check out download.com and search for converters. Many of them are for Windows but I think there are also some for Macs.
