I just received mine a few days ago and haven't traveled with it yet. So far, I think it's amazing. Then again, I'm from the generation that thinks "wired" is when one consumed too much coffee. ;-D While the screen is small compared to even the smallest laptop, the resolution is fantastic. It's also very easy to zoom in on a web page, maps, etc. The only wireless network I've accessed so far is my home network, and the results have been quite good. I encourage you to visit your local electronics retailer or Apple store and check it out. Note that Apple offers small discounts on their products to U.S. government and state employees, students, and teachers. However, you must purchase the product from a separate Apple web site (the government employee "store", the education "store", etc.). Happy travels! Mark

Hi Mark, The status under your name is based upon the number of posts you have made, not when you registered. It is great to see a long time member posting. As soon as you get above 10 posts, you'll move to 'Traveler'. The membership levels are on this page - scroll to the middle to see the different levels. We hope to hear more from you on how it is to travel with the ipod touch. Thanks for the information so far.
