Welcome to ST, Gerry.

Do you live anywhere near 'Green Gables?' Just joking! I grew up with those books and have often wondered if the place is truly as beautiful as portrayed.

Have fun with your planning.

Hi Gerry, welcome to the board. Love your website. In particular your place in PEI. If you are ever interested in swapping for a place in London let me know. I've always wanted to go to PEI. Big Grin

Hi Gerry - from nearly next door New Brunswick. I've been on this site for more than a year I geuss...and it has opened up my travel horizons greatly! Make sure you explore the depth that the site has to offer - it's amazing, along with the knowledgeable people on the message board.

I was in London and Venice last year (my first Italy trip) but been to London many times. But I do have to say that some of my fondest vacation memories were the weeks I spent in PEI each summer for about 8 years renting a farmhouse with friends! Nice people, wonderful scenery, good food and a chance to hang out at sandy beaches with swimmable water up here in the "great white north"!

Hi Beebee,
I would most definitely be interested in doing a swap someday. Let me know when you're interested and we can try to work something out. Our cottage is only available from June to Oct. This is Canada and it gets pretty cold for a cottage beyong that time.
Thanks for the welcome. I love this site.

Hi Debrah,
Thanks for the welcome. PEI is very nice but I'm really looking forward to Europe. The grass is always greener, I guess.
Thanks,
Gerry

Welcome from another Maritimer! I'm from Nova Scotia (although have a sister-in-law in Charlottetown).

I know just what you mean about the grass being greener - I am constantly thrilled by the beauty of Nova Scotia, but I can't wait until I can take another trip. We visited England and Italy this past July but even a month wasn't nearly long enough.

As Debrah says, there are lots of friendly and helpful folks on this board, so I'm sure any and all of your travel questions will be answered!

Hi Gerry from Ontario!

It is great to have another Canuck on the board.

You'll find a wealth of information hidden away in the nooks and crannies. . . . and if you can't find something - ask - and you shall receive!

Thanks, Anne. I've only just begun to dig through the layers on this site. I've got more questions than a Trivial Pursuit game.
Regards,
Gerry
