I'm planning on riding my bike from Rome to Venice in May. I have many things to plan for - most especially the exact route to follow - back roads and those less traveled. Anyone that can offer any insight or advice, please feel free. I've been in Italy 4 times, but never without a guide. I'm about a year away from being fluent in the language, so "Me la cavo" for now.
