Hello everyone, I have used slow travel quite a lot but have not introduced myself. I live in Perth, Western Australia and will be flying out with my husband in two weeks to Italy, Switzerland and France for about 6 weeks. Everyone has been so helpful and it has made the planning so much easier to hear from experienced travellers. We will be visiting Cinque Terre,Tuscany,Umbria and Lago D'Orta for about one month then driving into Switzerland with three nights at Zermatt, one week in Lauterbrunnen, two nights with no accommodation booked and then to Alsace, France for the remaining time.It seems a long time planning but it is now nearly upon us. We cant wait.

You will have a great time.

It would be great to hear how it went.

Hi to all the Aussie's. I will endeavour to write a trip report this time. I do keep a journal everyday and will try to do some watercolour sketches, if I can find the energy after a day out.I am sure there will be lots of inspiration!

Hello Bluewren,
Like you I am a Slow Travel virgin and it was only while thinking I should post a note on new members that I came across your note. I think we are doing similar trips this year (we leave middle of Agust) This being my first trip to Europe in my 54th year; my partner having travelled in his 20's and 30's. We are starting from Paris then to Provence and across to Italy: Amalfi/Tuscany:Florence/Lucern/Lauterbrunnen/Montreaux and back to Paris. Mostly by train with a hire car just for Provence. This trip planning is a huge learning curve for me and having only discovered Slow Travel recently I will await your travelling tales with great interest. What a wonderful site Slow Travel is - with so many helpful people across the globe willing to share their experiences. I Wish you a bon voyage!
