Hello everyone from sunny Florida. I am looking forward to being a part of the Slow Travel community. We are currently planning a trip to Tahiti next April and would love any and all info that I may gather here.
I am really a Jersey Girl but relocated to Florida in Nov. 2001. Love living here but miss the fabulous food that I grew up with in N.J. There's nothing like Jersey tomatoes,corn, blueberries and Italian food. But, there's nothing like not having to deal with ice, snow and real cold weather!

Welcome Captiva! Your upcoming trip sounds wonderful - I know very little of Tahiti but I am sure you can get help here.

(I wish I was somewhere warm right now - I am currently in Oslo, Norway and fall here is just a little too wet for me!)

OMG do I ever miss those Jersey tomatoes and the food !!! But the weather is so much better here!!!!!
