I just realized that I never introduced myself. I'm living on the east coast of Florida and have been to Italy three times, each trip was with the help of info I got right here.

I just joined after returning from my recent trip. I spent three weeks camping near Venice and Florence, with a few days in Paris on the way out. My nickname comes from the response I got from friends, family, neighbors and co-workers when I told them, that at 45 years old, I was going camping in Italy. Most of the responses I got questioned my sanity or judgement.

So, with Jackson Browne on the radio it hit me, I might be an idiot, but I was going to be a "Happy Idiot"

...and I can't wiat to do it again.

Good for you. Age is no barrier to doing anything you want. There may always be physical limits, but mentally NEVER!

...or as Billy Joel would say,

"You may be right.
I may be crazy,
But it just might be a lunatic you're looking for!"

My wife considers an outdoor pool at the Marriott as camping these days...
