I'm a new member, and I'm definitely into slow travel.
My name's Dave, single, and I live in North Florida. As a freelance writer, I recently sold my house and put myself in a position where I can begin spending long periods traveling. Over the past year, I've been figuring out how to manage my life and business from the road.
My plan is to alternate three-month stays between Europe and Florida.
My challenge is to find a nice place to stay in Europe where I can have high-speed Internet access, walking access to groceries and train, and a quiet old-world atmosphere to work and relax.
I'm eager to leverage other travelers' experience, and I appreciate any suggestions of quaint towns on the continent where a writer can find inspiration and a comfortable home away from home.

This sounds like a wonderful plan. Your next decision is narrowing down the choices - there are nearly as many "quaint towns on the continent where a writer can find inspiration and a comfortable home away from home" as there are Slow Travellers.
Enjoy the hunt!
