Our daughter and niece are at John Cabot University for the semester and my husband and I will be visiting in March. I'm just beginning to plan. We're considering staying near their apartment in the Vatican area or more centrally near the Pantheon. Any information on ease of walking from Pantheon to Vatican? What about the Pantheon View B&B as an option? Any suggestions on a day trip while the girls are in class? I'm thrilled to be a part of this helpful site! Thanks to everyone who shares!

Hi Mary,

Welcome to ST!

I recommend you post your inquiry on the Italy board.

I will be going to Rome in September - haven't been there since 1976 so my advice could be very suspect.

MaryV welcome to Slow Travel!

My niece was in Rome (Ariccia) for a semester with Auburn and we took advantage of the chance to visit. It was great fun, and you will have plenty to do while she is studying away.

Check out the Italy section for tons of info on B&B and apartments that you can rent, day trips, and things to do.

You have come to the right place!
