Just a quick note to say hello to Slow Talkees and my fellow Italophiles. I travel to Italy twice a year--Rome is my favorite city and I've become pretty savvy about it. ...and you are from my favorite city. I get down to NY twice per year (once for the Big East basketball tourny at the Garden, with the boys) and once for a weekend with my wife. Last June we went to a Governors Island Army Brats reunion and had the run of thr island.

I lived there (Fort Jay) and on Staten Island (Fort Wadsworth) back in the 50's and have never moved far away. From NH it's only four hours and from the Hartford area, it was only two - needless to say, in my case familiarity has bred a lifelong love affair with Gotham. I am still searching for employment that would bring me back permanently. You are where I wanna be!
