Hi! New to this site and finding a lot of valuable information here. I am going to Italy with my aging parents and my husband in May of 2008. We have a 3 day stay in Rome before boarding a cruise of the Mediterranean. I am trying to find out everything I can about Rome from handicap accessability to hotels. Thanks to all who have spent the time here to write reviews and offer first hand advice to the ins and outs of traveling in Rome.
Sounds like you and your family are going to have a wonderful time cruising the Mediterranean! a few fellow travelers from this site have been on that cruise (or similar) and everyone raves about it! How lucky you are to be able to travel with your parents.
For Rome, I can link you HERE to a great resource for handicap accessibility help. Hope it at least is a start for you!
You might want to post a message on the Italy forum, your sure to get a lot of replies. Perhaps title it "Help with Rome handicap accessibility" or something like that to bring attention to your question. Just a thought.
Welcome to Slow Travel, snomky! Pokey has guided you in the right direction: post in the Italy forum with any questions or concerns you may have with respect to your trip!
Thank you so much Pokey and Doru for the valuable information. I am new to posting so I am not sure how I do this. Yep Pokey it is short for snow monkey...very good!! I am going to take your advice Doru and post in the Italy forum and see what I can find out. Thanks again both so much!!
