HI, my name is Natalia and even if I have just rgistered myself in the Forum, I know this site from long time, because most of my guestes in Rome are people registred in this Forum and knew me or my apartments through "slow trav favourite" where I am listed. I am born in Italy and at the age of 20th I left my small town (near Trieste) for London to improve my English and after that I worked for many many years as a flight attendant (cabin crew) for the Italian Airline Alitalia. This gave me the opportunity to learn about the ways and customs of many countries, including of course Usa, a Country that I love and where I spend most of my vactions. After retiring I attended the "academy of Decorative Arts" and I discovered a talent and "passion" for painting and I use it in decorating personally my apartments with tromp l'oeil, hand painted tiles, tabletops or anything that could be painted. A am still attending courses of the History of Roman Art, which allowed me to get to know this marvellous city and her treasures ans this is one of the reason I decided to join the forum, beacuse I think I could give a good help to people enquiring about Rome or people ready for a vacation in the "eternal city"

Ciao, Natalia! It's great to see you here on the Slow Travel message board.

It's interesting that you spend so much of your vacation time in the U.S.A., when so many of us here in North America can't wait to visit Italy! It really demonstrates the attraction of places that are different or exotic compared to home.

Bye for now,
Sandra

I also welcome you Natalia to the site. You were a wonderful resource when we stayed at your Roman Forum apartment in September. As a matter of fact, our friends just stayed at your apartment last week after our recommendation!

Looking forward to your posts.

Your English is perfectly fine, niente, niente...Star
