Believe me, it's truth!
But now I want to travel all around the world? Which countries do you recommend first?

Thanks a lot,
Michelle

Hi Michelle,

Welcome. My suggestion would be to start with the country and culture that interest you the most. I would also start with adventures not too far from home...Enjoy and happy travels!

Based on my experience, I highly recommend Italy! Chicken Dance

If you truly meant England, then go to Edinburg and Dublin and Cardiff. The concentric circle approach espoused by SlowTravels means your second trip might include Inverness, Galway and Cardigan. Gotta get my tongue out of my cheek now.

Another vote for Italy (or France) - they aren't popular for no reason and both countries know how to accomodate travelers and the locals are polite, friendly and easy going by and large.

That's true Eden! Not so far from home Smile. Even I'm already 23, I will miss so much my mummy, and the meals of my mummy, hehe!

Yeah, maybe I have to start for United Kingdom!
What about Scotland?

Michelle.

The fringe festival in Edinburgh is really fun, there should be a lot of young people there too. Plan ahead -- very popular.

At 23 you still have plenty of time to see the world. My late Grandmother made her first international trip in her mid 70s - from the South of England to Johannesburg. When she got to Heathrow for her outbound flight, it was already the furthest distance she had ever been from her home town (about 80 miles).

Recommendations are entirely dependent on your indiviaul likes, dislikes and interests, but don't go to Italy first; Once you fall in love with the country you may find you are reluctant to go anywhere else :-).

Wow Tim, that is exactly how I feel. Italy is the best. I still like going other places though.

Tim, this must be why people go on the "same" vacation year after year... Nothing wrong with that... but my daughter tells me "there are other places to enjoy besides Paris, Mom".

My thoughts are that if I did not go to the one place that interests me the most, and possibly end up loving, I may not have other opportunities to go. Smile

I love the sense of adventure that your late grandmother had to go to Johannesburg in her mid 70s and as her 1st inernational flight... Wink Grin on the the Heathrow statement about it being her furthest distance at that point in ther travels... It is never too late to start life's adventures.
