I just recently found this forum, and I'll be traveling to Italy in May with 3 wonderful friends, and staying for 3 weeks. Does anyone have any good advise? ALSO, I'm really looking for places to buy fabric. I've looked on the internet, without any luck. Any ideas out there?

Thanks,
Kari

Welcome to Slow Travel, Kari!

We have an entire forum dedicated to Italy. You can check it out here and ask any questions you might have. The members are extremely helpful and I'm sure you'll get great advise for your travels to Italy.

Is it your first time visiting Italy or just first time traveling to Tuscany?

Hi Beenish,
This is my first time to Italy. I did travel to Israel, France and the Netherlands last spring, and I've been to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. I also took wonderful trips to Alaska and Hawaii. Thanks for the interest.

Ciao Kari,

For fabrics I suggest you look at Busatti's website, famous Tuscan weavers. Their factory is in Anghiari, but their site lists other locations in Tuscany. If you visit the beautiful showroom in Anghiari (near Sansepolcro), you can have a tour and see the old looms at work downstairs.

This is my first time writing in to Slow Travel--hope it works!
