MotherJudy introduced me to SlowTravel when we were planning our Italy trip last year. When my flight to Florence was cancelled, I said, without hesitation, just get me into Italy! I knew I could get to Florence on the train because of all the great info I had gotten on this site. Of course, the fact that I went to Milan and my suitcase went to Rome is another story.

We are off again, this year to France, and I thought it was about time to quit lurking and introduce myself.
