Hello everyone. I recently found this excellent site and hope I will make many virtual friends on it. I live in Sydney, Australia. I have 3 adult children and 2 baby grand-daughters (last one born 5 days ago). I am planning to take an Italian language course in Italy next April. AS I am new to the site, I'm not sure yet how best to find recommendations of good schools. I would like to go to Florence. So far, I have read good things about the Koine school. My husband will join me after the course (he will be doing a bike ride through Hungary while I am learning Italian) and we plan to spend another 2 weeks in Italy travelling around. Any suggestions for really good Italian language courses would be greatly appreciated. I am 56 years young, and teach law at University.
As the others have said, there is lots of good info on the Italy board. You can do searches for Italian language school or Koine and get lots of info from people who have been there, done that. Good luck with the planning and the language! I love learning languages and find it very enjoyable.
Yet another Aussie! I live in north Queensland. I've enrolled at Istituto il David, in Florence, in March. I had such nice, personal contact with the admin staff, so hope that follows through with the rest of the experience. Then, I have another 2 months in that wonderful country. Lucky? Sure am!
