I used this site when I planned my trip to Italy in 2006 and found it very helpful. I read review after review and the group (4 couples) thought I was fabulous for the villas I picked out for our 2 week trip. I planned, booked and took the credit!! I am hoping to do the same for next fall. I live in Winter Park, FL just outside the tourist city of Orlando. Warm, humid and afternoon showers this time of year. I appreciate this site and hope to find some more great homes and prices this time as well.

Welcome back! Besides the incredible resources Slow Travel provides, it's a pretty wonderful community, as well. If there's a GTG (get-together) close to you, you should join in. You'll meet some great people. Enjoy....

Last year we had a huge one in Savannah in April and many other smaller ones. The West coast people seem to do better than we do in the Southeast.

Shopinful: By all means go to a Slowtrav Get-together whenever you can. Savannah was beyond words great! Slowtrav people are warm and friendly and FUN. Plus we all share such a common love of travel. GTG's are the best and I'm a relative newcomer compared to many on the boards but my experiences at GTG's are unforgettably wonderful! Welcome and hope to meet you someday at a GTG. Barb Cabot
