My name is Carol and I have been a slow traveler for about the last 8 years without knowing it. I am a middle aged married woman with a son in the Army and a daughter away at college. We travel to Europe about every year or two, mostly to the UK because my husband has business there but also to the continent. We also rent a self-catering house or cottage and over the years have rented everything from an apartment in a 13th century French castle to a croft cottage in the Scottish Highlands. We try to base ourselves in a different area of the UK every time we go and have reserved a Norfolk flint cottage in the seaside town of Cley for September of this year.
