I am Kathy from Northern Michigan. I have been visting the slowtrav website for about a year, enjoying the contributions and taking advantage of the information. So, now I have joined. Many of my past trips have NOT been slowtrav style but as I get older - and wiser, I understand the philosophy. My most recent trip to Spain in April of 2007, was semi slowtrav and my next one will be at least a week in one place. I am writing up a report on that trip to Catalunya and will attempt to post it soon, if it passes muster by the Board.

I lived in Valencia for one year and in Barcelona from 1973 to 1984 and travelled all around Spain in those years. Since returning to live back in Michigan, I have made 4 trips back to Spain and will make many (?) more. Some places I repeat visit because thy are so grand but there are still corners of Spain I have not visited.

I can also speak informativly and passionately about travel in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where I was raised and Northwest lower peninsula, around the Sleeping Bear Sand dunes area.
