Hi, I'm a new poster to this board, but have very much enjoyed reading various trip reports over the last year. So I thought this would be a perfect place to ask this question. My friend (age 22) is going to be living at the university in Toulouse, France for 12 weeks beginning the start of May. I'm assuming he will have lots of time to explore surrounding areas. Then after that, he will be spending another 6 weeks in Europe, to sightsee further. Anybody have any ideas on (a)What things would be the best to do during those 12 weeks (weekends, I presume), and (b)Planning the last 6 weeks. I, personally, like to explore a few places well rather than try to cram too much area into a limited amount of time. I'm thinking it would be fun to take it slow. All ideas welcomed and appreciated. Mira.
Welcome. Albi is fairly close to Toulouse. Fantastic city, with an amazing cathedral perched over the River. And a Toulouse-Lautrec museum. It's been a while, but I also remember a nice walled town called Cordes. Are you going to go join him on any of his travels? Yrs, Robert
