OK, folks, I've given up on Lev Yerushalayim, or any other hotel. But I AM planning a trip to Israel at the end of April, to stay about a week in a little studio apartment in the Baka neighborhood of Jerusalem (belongs to a friend's brother). During that time, I will probably take off for my cousins in Rana'ana, a Tel Aviv suburb. But I will likely be in Jerusalem for Israel Independence Day.

Now I just need to confirm the apartment and book my ticket!

Your trip will be coming up soon. I was just out looking at the Israel albums on Slow photos last week. You've probably already seen them but they might be a nice preview for your upcoming trip.

I am now confirming the apartment ---- it's a busy time and someone else has requested. Then the flights.

Done! Studio apartment confirmed (the check is in the mail, literally) and flight booked.

I've reserved a car for one of the days that I will be there, which I may or may not actually pick up. I have the idea that it will be nice to drive into the Galil, but we will see how that works out. (I've driven in Israel before, although not alone.)
