What questions should I ask in selecting the right tour company for our Southern African safari?

I've received alot of brochures from different companies. Many tours look very similar. What is important to ask and know about?

Thanks.

Although not South Africa, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Thomson Safaris. This agency specializes only in Tanzania so if South Africa is your only desire, then Thomson won't do. If you go to my webpage (in signature), you will find a full report on our trip last January and some pretty nifty photos--lots of them. There are many reasons why I so highly recommend this outfit. 1.) They give back to the country in terms of schools, health, and agricultural. They have been honored by the government for their efforts. 2.) Their guides are all native, educated, incredibly knowledgeable Tanzanians. 3.) The quality of what they offer is of the highest caliber. If you just want to check them out, their website is Thomson Safaris
Hope you enjoy the report and photos.
