I am planning on a trip to India in July. I will be spending a long weekend in Goa then a week near Mumbai. Since it will be the Monsoon season, my main interest in Goa and Mumbai is dining, hanging out, and sightseeing. Does anyone have recommendations for upscale restaurants in Goa and Mumbai?

Bombay - I would recommend Copper Chimney, China Garden, Olive bar & Restaurant, Trishna, Konkan Cafe at Taj President, Zodiac Grill at Taj Mahal Hotel, Rotiserrie & Sea Grill at The Oberoi, , ATHENA at Colaba..

GOA - Tito's Club on Baga beach in North Goa - is the happening place to be in...
Souza Lobo Restaurant situated in Calangute Beach - north of Goa is another good one...

Baga beach, Calangute beach are all lined with excellent restaurants and shacks with a lot of local flavour - and ambience - so be sure to hit them while you are there...
