I am asking this for my neighbor...her boss is going for 2 weeks and is looking for a good travel schedule. It will be in December/January, so i believe this is summer. Any ideas?? He wants to see the falls...mendoza, the wine area and of course Buenos Aires. I will pass any info on to her and she says THANKS!!

Yes, it will be summer. The boss is likely to find Buenos Aires muggy, and some other places quite hot, so maybe he/she would like to go to the mountains or very far south to take advantage of some antarctic breezes (and the midnight sun).

I was in Mendoza many years ago and found it a bit dreary, but it may have changed since then. One place I didn't get to go and wish that I had was Bariloche. I visited the Beagle Channel and really enjoyed seeing the penguins, etc. I also visited the Perito Moreno glacier and saw the wind-swept plains of Patagonia that surround it, but it's a missable sight unless somebody really enjoys that sort of thing.

The real question is how much this person is willing to take internal flights. Also, do they want resorts and luxury? There are many in Argentina. But it's also possible to travel in moderately priced hotels and have more of an adventure. Does the person have any desire to do horseback riding or fishing or hiking?

Well if that's what he wants to see, then that sounds like a great 2 week itinerary. I'd spend a week in Buenos Aires, 2 days at the falls, and 5 in Mendoza. Spending any less time in each place would do the guy a disservice.
