I've just recently joined this wonderful slowtrav board and just wanted to say hi!
Pleased to see there are some other Aussie posters - are there many of us?
I am gradually working my way through the 'past posts' on all forums and can't believe the fantastic information here, and the warmth, regard and friendliness posters have for each other.
Looking forward to being able to contribute myself, and of course, ask those pesky questions!
Kind Regards

Pauline - thank you for the warm welcome. I will check Gavin's site as I live in Sydney too.
I will post my questions on the Italy forum for next year's extravaganza! My most recent trip to Italy was last November with a week in a fabulous apartment in Rome right on (and I mean right on!) the Spanish Steps, a few days in Santa Margherita Ligure and then an 11 night cruise from Genova to Turkey, Greece and Malta on an Italian ship(of course). Do you think anyone would be interested in a Trip Report (given that it was some 8 months ago)? Cheers Robyn

Yes, trip report and submit a review for that apartment (and any hotels and restaurants). Click the Submit Review link in the header. I am still working on (almost done) my trip report from 11 months ago!! My personal goal - to be finished before we leave on this years trip.
Probably is time for a Sydney GTG. I think there are three of us now, and Carol has a daughter here in Sydney, so it's probably time she made a visit. I'll organize a date toward the end of September when it's a little warmer.
Welcome Robyn, I was born and bred in Sydney so am pretty comfortable in the area......happy to meet up whenever.
Hi again Gavin, I think that I answered both posts in the other one.........single track mind.LOL. End of September might be all right for me. My walk this morning saw me dragging out one of the woollen scarves I had ready for my trip to Italy.......in Coffs Harbour a scarf? Took the camera down for my walk and to photograph Mars if I could........bit cloudy. Besides that I didn't want to take my ungloved hands out of my jumper pockets and I just about ran. Whoo cold.
Gavin, Carol and John - great to hear from you all. A Sydney GTG sounds a brilliant idea and end September would certainly suit me (weekend preferably). It will be wonderful to meet up with other SlowTravs and share experiences.
Pauline - will work on that trip report, it still feels like I was there yesterday, and here I am planning next year's trip! Good memories never fade.
Cheers
