Greetings from Haifa. I've been here all week on a business trip which means no sight-seeing this time. I did want to write about the hotel we're staying at since it was been very nice.
The Dan Panorama hotel is a clean, business-oriented hotel. The 16th floor is non-smoking which is really appreciated by me, a non-smoker in a country that smokes a lot. Breakfast is included for no extra charge and the selection of foods is very impressive. Rooms are around $100/night.
Rooms on the 16th floor (business floor) can access the Internet via Wi-Fi. ($15 for 24 hrs)
The staff speaks Hebrew with enough English for someone like me to communicate just fine.
Boker Tov, Paul! I stayed at the Dan Carmel up the street, which also was wonderful. (I had a room with balcony overlooking the bay, which certainly enhanced my experience) If you want to buy some gifts, the shop in the Dan Carmel has beautiful things, and at very fair prices.
Enjoy Haifa-- I love it.
