I've seen several posts on visiting Buenos Aires, but there's only one hotel review and I couldn't find any apartment reviews. I'd like to spend 2 weeks in Buenos Aires in early February 2008, be centrally located, and in a generally safe area close to transportation. I'll be travelling alone. I've looked at VRBO, but would like to hear if folks here have any recommendations.

Try the TripAdvisor's Buenos Air forum. You will find plenty of recommendations on apartments and information about your upcoming trip.

Thanks to both. I'd been through the reviews, but I didn't look at trip reports.

It might help your decision-making process to narrow down which neighborhood interests you the most. For us, we enjoyed Palermo Soho immensely, especially our stay at Hotel Bobo (www.bobohotel.com).
