We will be in Tunis next April on a cruise ship

I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a driver/guide

I have found one through Chris Sheridan who is based in Malta but I did want to locate at least one other option before we made our decision.

another option is shorex, which we try to avoid..

I've been to Tunis twice and chose the ship's excursion both times, which is not what I usually do.

From talking to others who did not pre arrange but took a driver at the port, I heard they had a lot of communication problems, did not go where they asked to go, and got worried about getting back to the ship.


Best of luck finding one. There must be some on cc that could recommend some good ones.

Royal Caribbean has pulled all itineraries next year out of Tunis.

We're bummed

Palermo has been substituted.

Must do research, as I;ve only been to Messina and Taorimina

K. I really liked Sicily, but have only been to Taromina & Messina, as well.

I really didn't like Tunis very much because of the bus tour.

I'm thinking of the Med. cruise which goes to Egypt but could also see them pulling out of there.

Our friends on the Baltic cruise with us last Sept. were continuing on the Star to the Med. and had Casablanca removed as a port stop for political reasons. I would have been very disappointed if that happened to us.

We decided to cancel..my womans intuition has been on overdrive..that this cruise is no longer a perfect fit.

We are now going to Mainland Greece, Turkey and Cyprus on our own for 3 weeks.

Will be doing a link on my site with the full itinerary, videos, etc. like I've done in the past...

probably will be up in the next couple of days!

The Greek islands will be combined for when we do a Black Sea cruise either beginning or ending in Athens.
