I may have the opportunity to visit Mali on a business trip in November. Right now I'm not sure how much time I will have for sightseeing. I've bought a guidebook, but would love recommendations or ideas from someone who might have been there in the past couple of years.

You should also try the Lonely Planet board, as they have more travellers to Africa.

Do you speak French? It is the second language in Mali.
