Okay - next child's Bat Mitzvah is looming in the future, so I'm resurrecting this discussion, Israel at Passover.

We've received the girls' school calendar and the November option is completely off the table. Sammi melts like a candle in the heat, so if we can avoid summer, we would like too. So how crazy is this:

March 28 (2009) - Sammi Bat Mitzvah
Sunday March 29 - Flight to Tel Aviv
Wed April 8th Passover starts

Fly home either Thursday April 9th (I'm assuming flights will run after sundown) or Saturday April 11th or - Sunday April 12 - which is Easter. Chris thinks as long as we're in Israel, it's one of the few places he'd consider being (other than home) at Easter.

So we got good info related to Passover in the thread referenced above, but what about Good Friday and Easter any affect? I'm figuring we'd probably just spend those last few days chilling in Tel Aviv anyway. What are your thoughts?

The first two and the last two days of Passover are Yomtovs and many places will be closed. Before booking, maybe you should decide what you want to see and do and then make sure that there will be enough "open" days.

Mazel Tov!
