I am getting the urge to visit Israel this spring, spending a week in Jerusalem. (Haven't been in a while and I have a new grandniece there.) And I would like to do it cheaply; the hotels I've stayed at in the past are just too expensive.

I remember a few years ago a friend and her family stayed at Lev Yerushalayim, which is a kind of suite hotel with kitchen facilities right smack dab at the intersection King George St and the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall. Is this place still ok to stay in? Has it become rundown? (I'm interested in the housekeeping, condition of rooms, etc; I already know the neighborhood.)
