That is a great list Leslie. I'm also a fan of Latana. One of my favorite Aussie movies not on your list is "The Wave". And I have to say I have a soft spot for Muriel's Wedding.

When I was researching the list, which is actually my picks of "scenic" Australian movie spots, I found an article from earlier this year on the Port of Echuca, in Victoria.
I did the road trip down to Echuca a few years back - took a ride on a paddle steamer and toured the beautiful wineries of Rutherglen.
I sometimes think I am the only person who saw Don's Party, a 1976 movie directed by Bruce Beresford. Takes place in suburban Sydney.
Very funny, very sexy, apparently very tuned into Australian politics, as the party of the title takes place on the night of the 1969 Australian election. Was originally a play.
I had that one, with all the other David Williamson plays that have been made into movies in the much longer list I wrote for Pauline back in December/January.
But when I got a chance to revise it in May, I decided to focus primarily on "scenic" movie locations in Australia - so a lot of my original choices (most of the extra ones mentioned here filmed with a lot of interiors) "went west".
I've asked Pauline to change the name for me to reflect the choices/changes I made.
