This is not a new trip but I just realized that I had never posted its existence on this board. So, if you are interested in photos and a report on Machu Picchu, the Inti-Raymi Festival, Sacred Valley, etc., you may find this useful. Machu Picchu

Jane --

Wonderful pictures! My family will be traveling from Cochabamba, Bolivia to La Paz, Lake Titicaca, and onto Peru, hopefully to Machu Piccu over the holidays. Looking for some travel tips -- hotel and food recommendations, need for guide or planned tour? Anything at all would be helpful. And if this is too general a plea, I can take the time to ask specific questions.

Thanks
Suzanne

Suzanne, sorry but I just saw this post today--don't look in this section too often. Actually, pretty much all I know is on the site unless you have specific questions. We didn't see much of Peru--just those areas I talk about. Right now I am planning a trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands--taking our grandson along. It is fun to plan.
