I am going to Siem Reap, Cambodia to work at their pediatric hospital for 3 weeks in January. Accomodations and food are all taken care of but I will have a significant amount of free time and am looking for suggestions on shopping and temple visiting. I will be traveling alone and will be depending on bikes and the moped taxi drivers so trips elsewhere won't be possible. But if you have any suggestions for making the most of weekends and evenings in Siem Reap, I'd love them! (I do know about the 3 day pass to the temples but have no idea where they are in relationship to the center of town)

I am bumping this back up in hopes that someone catches it 2nd time around! While I'm here, I would also love to hear from women in particular about how they handled lugging several pieces of luggage between planes from the USA to Cambodia (or other Asian destinations)- I will have the usual carry-on and a rollerboard but will also have a large duffle bag type thing with medical supplies. I'm a little worried about the logistics of this. I'm flying United from Boston to Bangkok then Bangkok Air to Cambodia. I'm strong but petite and wonder how I'm going to manage transporting more luggage than I can carry on my own. Suggestions Pul-eezz!! Thanks
