We will be in Man.Antonio/Quepos area Jan 1-3, 2009. Any recommendations on a specific tour company to use that offers EXCELLENT tour guides for Mangroves/Man.Antonio Park/Rainforest? There are so many to choose from....there has to be one excellent one! Thank you.

Where are you staying? We stayed at Vila Nicolas and thought it was very nice and reasonable.

Sorry for the lag....we're staying at LaPosada Jungle Bungalows. Trying to find a place for just 2 nights mid-week during Xmas vacation was nearly impossible!! I tried V.Nicholas to no avail. Know of a good transfer company--to drive us from MA/Q to Puerta Caldera, and then from P.Caldera to SJO? There are so many out there! I appreciate you trying to find your tour company that you did the mangrove tour with. thanks.

not sure if you have tried them but a friend of mine has just come back from the wide mouth frog in Quepos. Apparently really nice, friendly and laid back - also pretty cheap. Mind you - not sure about Xmas availability...
