I have just booked a last minute vacation. I woke up this morning thinking about an upcoming trip to Vienna and Budapest later this month. Now I will be going to bed with a cancelled trip at the end of the month and a trip this weekend to Africa! It is crazy how life plays out sometimes. Anyways, I got roundtrip air from Rome to Hamermatt, 3 nights in a 5star with private beach, and roundtrip ground transport to from Hotel/airport for 356 euros (not sure about the inclusion of meals yet). I could of gotten a 4star for 7 nights for 410, however I have bookings for private tours next week that would of interferred.

So, has anyone else ever been there? Any recommendations? Restaurants? I know nothing about the country or location.

This is very unusual of me to go somewhere so unplanned and so last minute. But, it is very exciting though.

have fun.. from what I hear most of those places are great.. I have been dreaming about one of those trips too.. right now looking at a long weekend in Sicily ( never been)
